09 October 2020   The Northern Cape MEC for Agriculture, Environmental Affairs Land Reform and Rural Development Ms. Mase Manopole has further extended the closing date for the application of 2021/22 Comprehensive Agricultural Support Program (CASP) and Ilima/Letsema grants funding.The initial closing date for the farmers to apply for the grant funding was Friday, 09 October 2020 and the MEC has extended it to 16 October 2020.   This extension emanates from general call from the farming community, which has pleaded with the Department to extend the deadline for applications.   The MEC acknowledged that, due to some challenges which several farmers came across, such as accessing and filling of application forms on time, it would be difficult for majority of the farmers to meet the deadline.   The MEC has called on the farmers to take full advantage of the extension of the deadline by filling the application forms correctly and attach required documents upon submission.   The MEC further encourage the farmers to contact the respective Department District Offices when requiring more information and assistance.     End//   For media queries contact Zandisile Luphahla on 083 391 5388   ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS, LAND REFORM AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT.
