DEPT TO BESTOW HONOURS TO BEST FEMALE ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR COMPETITION.
The Northern Cape Department of Agriculture,Land Reform and Rural Development will be honouring the best Female Entrepreneur for their outstanding role in the Agriculture's economic and the promotion of household security.The MEC for Agriculture,Land Reform and Rural Development Norman Shushu will confer the honours at the awards gala ceremony in Marchand near Augrabies on Thursday 05th August 2010.
The Adjudication process in this year's Female Entrepreneur of the year 2010 competition ended with 42 Female Entrepreneur and short listed 16 set to vie for glory in six categories;

Best Subsistence Producer

Top Young Entrepreneur

Top Young Entrepreneur: Smallholder

Top Entrepreneur: Commercial

Top Entrepreneur: Export Markets
The prize-money for Best Female Worker,Best Subsistence Producer and Top Young Entrepreneur in each category is R50, 000 whilst Top Entrepreneur-Smallholder, Top Entrepreneur-Commercial and Top Entrepreneur-Export Markets is R65, 000 in each category.The total money at stake for this year's competition is R1 625,000.
The six provincial categories winners will represent the province in the National Female Entrepreneur of the year 2010 competitions to be held later in August in the Eastern Cape Province.The Female Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 competition is being sponsored by Total SA.
