Administration

The primary purpose of this programme is to manage and formulate policy directives and priorities, to ensure there is appropriate support service to all other programmes with regard to finance, personnel, information, communication and supply chain management. A new sub-programme has been created that will deal with Planning, Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation. The programme is structured into six sub-programmes and renders support functions to all other programmes with regard to finance, personnel, information, communication and procurement.

The Sub- Programmes under administration are as follows:

Office of the MEC:

Determine policy and set priorities for the department.

Senior Management:

Translate policies and priorities intro strategies for effective service delivery and, to manage,monitor and control performance

Corporate Services:

Ensures an appropriate support service based on the principles of corporate governance.

Communication Services and Information Technology Support
Provides internal and external communications of the department through written, verbal, visual and electronic media as well as marketing and advertising of the departmental services.

Financial Management
Provides the department with sound financial management services.

Planning,Performance,Monitoring and Evaluation
The function is to monitor and evaluate departmental performance
