Led by the Bafokeng King, His Majesty, Kgosi Leruo Molotlegi, the pilgrimage, which is held every two years, is aimed at commemorating the Bafokeng Regiments who between 1870 and 1900, (during the Kimberley diamond rush), trekked to Kimberly's diamond mines for employment.

MEC Mase Manopole is a Program Director at the Deputy President David Mabuza's engagement with Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders in the Northern Cape.Flanked by MEC Bentley Vass, of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs; Deputy Minister Obed Bapela, of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs; Deputy Minister Mcebisi Skwatsha, from the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, the Deputy President in his capacity as Chairperson of the Inter-Ministerial Task Team established to respond to issues raised by Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders, was welcomed by Kgosi Thabo Seatlholo, Deputy Chair of National House of Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders in Kathu, Gamagara Local Municipality.
MEC MANOPOLE WELCOMES THE WORKING OF FIRE TEAM.

MEC Mase Manopole has welcomed the Working on Fire (WOF) Team to the Northern Cape, following veldfire outbreaks in the John Taolo Gaetsewe District.
The WOF is an Expanded Public Works Program under the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, which has employed young men and women, who have been fully trained as wildfire firefighters and are stationed in more than 200 bases throughout South Africa.

Today is the second day of the Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, Hon Mcebisi Skwatsha's visit to the Northern Cape, as part of his oversight role on CPAs and redistribution of land in the Province. Accompanied by MEC Mase Manopole, John Taolo Gaetsewe District Mayor, Cllr. Queen Mogatle and Ga-Segonyane executive mayor, Cllr. Neo Masegela, he held a meeting with Kgosi Bareki and Kgosi Thaganyane in Kuruman.

The Namakwa District had a successful District Development Model (DDM) meeting, led by its political champions, Deputy Minister for Trade, Industry and Competition, Ms Nomalungelo Gina, MEC for Agriculture, Environmental Affairs, Rural Development and Land Reform, Ms Manopole Mase and District Executive Mayor of Namakwa, Councillor Mervin Cloete. The meeting was preceded by the technical stream meeting led by senior officials from all three spheres of government.
