THE THREAT OF FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE STILL PRESENT IN THE NORTHERN CAPE.

Following the outbreaks of Foot and Mouth Disease in the North West and Free State Provinces, the Northern Cape placed its officials on high alert and conducted targeted surveillance at known places of animal congregation.

MEC MANOPOLE CAUTION FARMERS AND LAND USERS TO BE ON HIGH ALERT FOR VELD FIRES.

The Northern Cape MEC for Agriculture, Environmental Affairs, Rural Development and Land Reform MEC, Mme Mase Manopole, is calling on the public and land users to be on high alert for veld fires during this fire season.

The ZF Mgcawu District Team, spent the Nelson Mandela Day with the community of Askham.
They painted and erected a new shade net for food security at a local school and also donated garden tools, and planted trees at the local local church.

IT IS A WRAP!!! About 750 dogs and 20 cats were vaccinated as part of the Nelson Mandela Day Rabies Vaccination in Barkley West, Dikgatlong Local Municipality. Rabies can be prevented.

MAYOR'S LEAD TEAM ON BEHALF OF MEC MASE MANOPOLE TO DONATE FOOD PARCELS TO HOUSEHOLDS IN BARKLEY WEST
The Team led by Frances Baard District Municipality Mayor, Unondumiso Buda and Dikgatlong Local Municipality Mayor, Joyce Tshwanage, on behalf of MEC Manopole, is donating food parcels to various households in De Beershoogte and Mataleng suburbs in Barkley West.
