'The only benefit is to serve your community.' These were the words of encouragement from National Secretary of People and Parks, Ntate John Mathebe to the newly elected Provincial structure.
DAY2 of the conference saw Ntate Mathebe giving an overview of the objectives of People and Parks programme to the delegates, emphasizing the importance of discipline, selflessness and the spirit of voluntarism to the executive committee members.
Former People & Parks veteran Oom Gert Links has challenged young people to encourage their peers to play an active role in community affairs for the improvement of their communities. Oom Links was making opening remarks during the two day Provincial People & Parks Conference in Upington. The two day Provincial Conference seeks to reflect on what the disbanded People & Parks Committee has achieved and not achieved.
On the 26 May 2023 a Food Security Awareness Programme was held at the plot of Mme Martha Montshing at the Binneplase of Roodepan where various stakeholders formed part of the workshop.

"Protection of the Northern Cape Ocean environment from all illegal activities is the priority of the SAPS in ensuring a better life for all citizens", said Colonel Herlan Coghlan, the Provincial Commander for Border Policing when addressing the Operation Phakisa multi-disciplinary parade that commenced in Port Nolloth on the 18 May 2023 and concluded on 21 May 2023. The execution area included Kleinsee, Groenrivier, Alexander Bay and Hondeklipbaai.

The second leg of the EXCO Outreach Program commenced in Hopetown in the Pixley ka Seme District Municipal area. The EXCO Programme is lead by the Premier Dr Zamani Saul as part of the feed back session to communities.
